This has to be one of my favourite maggies from the new range. I have mounted her on papermania black and white papers and coloured her trousers and bobbles using clear stickles. The rub on sentiment is by papermania.

I have been really lazy and not done hardly any blogging over the last couple of weeks so I am playing catch up. I have managed to get a bit of craft done using the new designs from Bootiful Stampz.This card has been made using nurse Maggie who lends herself very nicely to get well cards. She could be used for new recruits to the nursing profession too. I have coloured her in using whispers permanent markers and mounted her on some patterned paper I got free from a magazine. The glitter frame is from the make it yourself range by paper seller. Two co-ordinating silk flowers finished with a button and blue organza ribbon. The sentiment has the organza ribbon tied in a bow. Gems are adhesive gems by papermania.

This is princess Maggie. She has been coloured using twinkling H2O's and mounted onto corrugated gold card and then on patterned paper from DCWV. The stickers are papermania clear stickers.

I have reduced a lot of my longer lengths of ribbon in my store so they are even more of a bargain!!! Great if you do craft fairs or for your own personal use. I am having a complete revamp which should be finalised late summer so I am selling off lots of excess stock at silly prices.

I have recently finished my latest project:A knitted scarecrow! Its been absolutely ages since I knitted anything and the kids have been absolutely fascinated. The youngest two have already been arguing who he belongs to and he has been subjected to several rounds of dancing to dingle dangle scarecrow :)

I have also made a couple of cards using my fave stamps of the moment - Maggies

Maggie has been painted with watercolours and matted on DCWV patterned paper and silver card. two types of sticky ribbon with papermania accents.

This is one of my entry's to my teams challenge over on Aunty's forum. We were given a sketch and we have to create as many projects as we can using the sketch as inspiration. I have used one of the latest Bootiful bunnies and as you can see he is great for those male cards. All I have done is glittered the ladder using copper stickles. The paper is by Kanban, the ribbon is chatterbox and the ric rac is anitas sticky ribbon. I have used a white sakura gel pen to write Dad.

Maggie is the gorgeous new addition to the Bootiful Stampz family. She has a fantastic wardrobe and is just so cute.This is also my entry for the tags. toppers and ATC's challenge for this week. The theme is glitter. My Maggie tag is made using a giant sizzix scallop tag, patterned paper and dress and bow Maggie . I have added stickles silver glitter to her bobbles, waistband and socks and edged the tag too. She has a real mulberry flower in her hair. Ribbon is pink satin and orange organza.

A trifold card, again using an image of Maggie in jeans and a cute flower top. I have used foil and glitter card for the matting and a vellum sentiment which I have torn. Ribbon is anitas sticky ribbon.

I have been having a play with Auntys new downloadable bunny's and this is what I have come up with so far....

As a member of Auntys Bootiful Stampz design team, I have made a few projects using the new stamps from Bootiful stampz

This card is a baby girl card made using the bunny with bottle. I have mounted my stamped bunny on green card and the lilac shimmer card. On the back of the shimmer card I have stuck some pink tasseled fibre. The bunny is coloured using water colour pencils and pink pebeo gloss for the ears, bottle and nose. The rub on bottles and greeting are from Scrapworks Li'l lady range.

For this card, I stamped the bunny image in shadow ink straight onto the card blank. Mounted the coloured easter bunny as before onto green and pink card. I made the charm using white shrink plastic and attached it to the topper using split rings. This is a simple monochromatic card using silver shiny card. I have stamped a gift bunny on white card and cut it out. The ribbon is highlighted with black stickles. The vellum greeting is from the DCWV scrapbook in a stack pad. Making memories chipboard button finishes the card in the top left corner.This was my first attempt that my daughter decided to dismantle for me before I photographed it!!! Anyhow, I managed to piece it back together. The basket bunny has been coloured using couloured pencils and pink pebeo gloss. I also weaved thin pink ribbon on alternate rows of the basket and secured it at the back. This would work really well with the large basket bunny. I mounted it on glitter card and pink wrinkle paper and mounted on a square card blank. Edges are cut using a small bunny punch. Eggs using a small egg punch.

21st birthday card

I thought I would have a go at using my Bootiful bunny stamp for something a little different this week. I have made a 21st birthday card. I used a stencil to cut the key shape and embossed it using copper embossing powder. The rest is pretty much self explanatory.

Mothers day will soon be upon us so I have made a couple of things that I would like to share. These projects both incorporate Bootiful bunny stampz and are part of my design team submissions for this month.

This is a basic card made from DCWV patterned paper and papermania sticky ribbon. I have triple matted the image on pearlescent, glitter and then patterend paper. The image itself is the small cup of bunny. Istamped a couple of images using black stazon. I stamped a swirly design over one of the images and cut the stamped cup out. I overlaid it on the other stamped image. The bunny is coloured in using coloured pencils.

This is a bookmark, made using the small peeking bunny. I stamped the image onto black card using silver Brilliance ink and then cut it out. The main part of the bookmark is made from silver shimmer card overlaid with a piece of black card. I have stamped a swirly pattern in white over the black card. I used Sizzlets letters and added some organza ribbon attached with a pearl brad to the bottom.

This is my first time on a design team so I am really looking forward to starting. There are two of us on the design team, the other lady is Jo from the siggi shop. I am feeling a bit on the fed up side today. I have to go into work tomorrow to discuss going back to work on a phased return. I am not sure I will be up to it but I guess I have to give it a try - I just hope I can manage with this constant feeling of exhaustion.
I haven't done much crafting over the last week so I am a bit behind with my challenges, but the kids break up tomorrow for a week off so we might get something done together LOL - I am probably being a bit too optimistic there!

Bootiful Stampz February challenge

The Bootiful Stampz challenge for February is:

This is what I have done for the challenge.

I used patterned paper from DCWV adhesive stack. I mounted this on sparkly grey paper and stuck to the card. I used a section of Bazzill fluted edge cardstock with assorted pink/black ribbons pushed through the holes.

I cut the letters on my big shot using Sizzix Lollipop uppercase letters using co-ordinating DCWV adhesive paper. I coloured the bunny using watercolour pencils and added a brad and brad bow attachment to add some sparkle. Finally, I drew the stitches by hand using a Zig writing pen.

I have been busy baking with my little boy this weekend and I am amazed at how well some of the stuff we made tasted - it is a while since we have made stuff from scratch though; we usually buy the packet mixes LOL. I haven't had much time to craft this weekend but I have bought a craft mag today and I have a few ideas buzzing around now.

Here is a card I made last week using a handbag template from WS designs and some urban Lily papers.

I have made my first card using one of my new stamps. I love it. You can purchase these stamps from Auntys store. They are an exclusive design and made in limited numbers at the moment so grab them whilst you can!

My older brother, Paul, passed his advanced driving test yesterday after 2 previous attempts - so well done Paul!!!!! He is now qualified to be a driving instuctor which is handy since my eldest Jess is 17 this year LOL. This is the card I have made for.

Arty Girlz challenge

The Arty Girlz challeng this week involves creating something red so here is my entryThe backing paper I used was from the papermania black and white collection. I used a panel of red glitter paper and added some sizzix letters that a friend sent me. I added some gem heartd and along the bottom panel I have added a row of sticky gems but you cant really see them in the picture.

I also made a couple of other cards last night using some spare patterned paper.

The thankyou card is for my Daughter's boyfriends mum who I bought some stash of recently. She has given me lots of free bits and bobs and I am really chuffed with it all.

A lovely friend of mine over on Auntys forum was kind enough to send me some stamped Tildas to play with. They arrived yesterday and I have made a card with one already. Its a first attempt and I used brush markers rather than wc pencils as I couldn't get mine to work LOL. Storm also sent me a couple of stamped sugar nellie stamps as well and I have made a card for my father in law using it.

Auntys team challenge

I am in a team of 5 on Aunty's forum and our first challenge was to create a piece of artwork (ATC, Scrapbook page, card etc) in Monochrome colours with one embellishment in a winter colour. It also had to be a shape other than a square!!! This is my entry:

Happy New Year.....Finally

I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year since I haven't posted since before Christmas. We have had a quiet christmas in comparison to previous years as I haven't really felt well enough to party. I am on the mend though, although it seems to be a really slow process. I have worked on a couple of crafty projects over christmas - one of which was a sympathy card but haven't had time to photograph them yet. I have been busy sorting out some of the clutter in our house and having a general spring clean. Its taken me 4 times longer than it usually would but I feel better for getting it done. I now have a space of my own to craft in - I will even be able to get my sewing machine out for the first time in years!!!

I spent an hour in work today with my fantastic colleagues and it was so nice to feel back to a little bit of normality, although I am absolutely shattered tonight. I don't know if I am ever going to feel okay again and it really is a depressing thought, but I guess there are peeps a lot worse of than me. At least I have my family. I have made a card tonight that could be used for a wedding or maybe a prom or girlie event which I will photograph and post tomorrow - It was really nice to actually make something other than a Christmas card!! I have got most of my present wrapping done today as well thanks to my eldest son, Elliot, who has helped enormously.

One of my projects for the new year (and probably the next few new years thinking of the state of my loft) is to declutter my house. A friend of mine over on Auntys forum has been giving me some advice on Feng Shui so I am hoping that if I try some of those tips it might help me to sort out some of the problem areas of my life.

I have been to see my little boy, Cameron in his nativity play today and he did so well - had a speaking part as well. A friend of mine has taken some piccies and is emailing them to me as I forgot my camera!!! I finished writing out all my family and friends crimbo cards this evening so I should get them in the post tomorrow if my hubby will take them to the post office for me - not that I am at the last minute or anything LOL!. This is what I have been up to craft wise over the last few days - Making embellishments using some stash I thought I would never use. Its been like a mini challenge for me but I am quite pleased with the results. I used some Bazzill chipboard and some adhesive diamantes and organza ribbon to add some dimension.(photos dont really do justice but they never do do they!!!)

I have neglected my blog over the weekend as I have been so ill with a stomach bug. I have been really wiped out what with all the other health problems I have been having but hey ho thats life!! This week is going to be mad with christmas preparations and school concerts etc. I am definately going to do my Christmas grocery shop online though as I just can't face all the hustle and bustle of doing it in person LOL.

It was my little girl, Melissa's first day in the spotlight in her nursery nativity play and she was less than impressed LOL
I was actually quite surprised that she did not remove the tinsel from her hair. She kept touching it but that was all. I have also finished this weeks Arty Girlz challenge. I hand stamped a large anitas flower onto card and then cut it out. I used some left over papers and ribbons and a TLC rub on for the top right hand corner. The cut out flower was attached using a sticky pad to give the card more dimension. I added a small adhesive gem in the centre of the flower to finish off. I hope you like it!!

Here are some of the christmas cards I have made this year for family and friends:

The first is a basic card made using a pre prepared sticky tag :). The second one is a stamped image cut out and added to a die cut tag! The third one has been made using WRMK chipboard letters that I had left over from another project. The last has been made using various bits from the papermania christmas range.

I have made absolutely loads of Christmas cards this year. I think I might have got a bit carried away really. Oh well, I can always use some of them next year and I have a bit of a head start.

I have finally taken the plunge and created a blog! Now I don't know what to write LOL. I have been quite ill recently and am still off work sick so I have been finding some extra time to craft. I will post some of my latest (Christmassy) creations tomorrow if I can rescue my camera from DH!! The kids and I have baked a couple of cakes tonight and I made some yummy chocolate frosting for them - When I checked them before bed there were some little finger marks in the icing - They just cant wait can they LOL..........
